Sam Newton Battenberg Faulkner [born January 11th 1985 in Surrey, England] is a British musician. On January 5th 2000, aged 15, Newton [or Sam, as he was known then] took his first guitar lesson with session guitarist and independent record producer, Bob Cranham. Newton knew a handful of chords and a couple of minor pentatonic scales. Over the next 4 and a half years Bob took Newton from these humble beginnings through an artist development programme that saw him create his unique guitar playing and song writing style, gain a place at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, launch his career as a solo artist, play his first gigs at major London venues such as The Troubadour; make his first TV and radio appearances, produce and release his first solo EP, record his first solo album and initiated NewtonΓ??s international publishing contract - which, in turn, led to his recording deal with Sony BMG. 

'Hand Built By Robots' is the debut album by guitarist/singer/songwriter Newton Faulkner.The album charted at No.3 due to the massive success of the top ten single 'Dream Catch Me' and a lot of advertising.The album to date has remained at No.3 for three consecutive weeks.
